Two persons have been charged for the murder of Anthony Audley Frederick of Black bay in St. John’s.
Kenny Morain Braveboy a 34 year old resident of Beausejour, St. George’s and Albert Griffith 26 year old resident of Granville Vale, St. George’s were both charged with murder and robbery with violence.
Frederick received a single shot to the chest.
The incident occurred just after 9.00 last evening, Friday 8th 2008, in Black Bay in St. John’s at the business establishment of Anthony Audley Frederick, known as All Stop Supermarket.
In what police believed to be a robbery attempt of the supermarket led to the shooting of the proprietor.
Mr. Anthony Audley Frederick – 59 year old Black Bay resident was rushed to hospital where he later died.
The Commissioner of Police Mr. Winston James and the investigating officers wish to thank the community for their prompt assistance in providing reliable information that led to the apprehension of key suspects within minutes of the incident..
"The positive role of the community cannot be down played or taken for granted in this matter" said Commissioner James. "With such levels of cooperation with the Police and the Community, Grenada would be a very safe place, the Commissioner elaborated."
No date has been set for the charged persons to make their first court appearance.
Police investigation continues.
