SAASS ALUMNI IN NEW YORK TO ASSIST SAASS IN PREPARATION...
INSIDE GRENADA MARCH 03, 2008 by Wallace J.A GRENADA: The SAASS Alumni Association (New York Chapter) is expected to provide support for the young athletes of the St. Andrew’s Anglican Secondary School as they prepare for the 2008 Intercol Games. This premier track and field event is scheduled to take place on March 12th and 13th at the Grenada National Stadium and will involve all secondary schools in the tri-island state. The Alumni Association was very instrumental in providing medals, trophies and other items to the school for its recent inter-house sports meeting at Progress Park. Their involvement helped to bring out the best in many of the school’s athletes thereby contributing towards a spectacular and memorable event. Over this past weekend, SAASS participated in the ‘National Champs’ at the National Stadium and emerged as the top performer among secondary schools. By so doing, SAASS has sent a very strong message to the other schools in the nation that it will definitely be a force to be contended with this year and will be going all out to win the Intercol championship in 2008. Last year, SAASS was second to Mc Donald’s College in the male category. The SAASS Alumni Association in New York, through Grenadian Connection, wishes to extend an invitation to persons in the USA and Canada, who are desirous of providing assistance to the St. Andrew’s Anglican Secondary School (however small), to get in touch with Mr. Aiden Pursoo, Mr. Joseph ‘Bobiley’ Lewis or any other member of the Alumni Association. Mr. Lewis can be contacted at jalewis2004@yahoo.com
