NNP’S YOUTH CONVENTION AND RALLY
After a successfully tremendous show of support by women nationwide, the New National Party (NNP) is taking its message of continuing the progress throughout the country with the organization’s Youth Arm planning a massive engagement. Efforts towards mobilization for the NNP Youth Convention and Rally have gone into high gear and the Party is expecting another large crowd and colourful Party affair. At the NNP Women’s Rally and Convention at Tivoli , St. Andrew, on March 21, 2008, Political Leader, Prime Minister, Dr. the Rt. Hon. Keith Mitchell, hinted that the Youth Arm of the Party has been called into action for the staging of the Youth Convention and Rally on April 20, 2008. Being pleased with the support by the crowd, the Prime Minister chided the Opposition that there are bigger things to come and subtly disclosed that the Youth Convention and Rally will be a big event. As it has been ordered by the Party’s Executive, several officials and stalwarts have been engaged in strengthening their youth groups for the task ahead, which according to the Public Relations section of the Party, is going to be a rather big one. The entire country has been invited, according to a Party Spokesman, who went on to state that it’s the young people’s gift to the Nation, in acknowledgement of the emphasis the NNP ruling Government has placed on the development and empowerment of young people. The NNP Youth Convention and Rally will be staged at the Fond Playing Field in Sauteurs, St. Patrick’s, and the day’s proceedings will include the election of a new Youth Arm executive, speeches by the NNP Political Leader, Dr. the Rt. Hon. Keith Mitchell and other senior members of the Party and Parliamentary Representatives. In the event you miss this massive event, you will be able to log on to www.nnpnews.com after the Rally for all speeches and photos. There will also be cultural entertainment featuring several local and foreign artistes, including Grenada ’s 2007 Soca Monarch duo, Luni Spark and Electrify, Ajamu, Papa Jerry, Boogie B, Tallpree who recently launched his tune composed for NNP St. George North East Candidate Kennedy Roberts. Randy Isaac, Sheldon Douglas and Inspector who earlier this year released one of the NNP’s campaign tunes “don’t stop the progress”, Berbice, Zingo and others who have made it on the international circuit in the field of soca music. Among the foreign artistes will be the Jamaican World-renowned sensation Beenie Man, and Trinidad and Tobago’s 2008 Soca Monarch Bunji Garlin, Fayann Lyons with their Asylum Band and Maximus Dan. NNP feels the cultural entertainment will serve as a treat for the young people, since all artistes have displayed the positive vibe on, as well as off the stage, and Grenada ’s young people can look to them as role models who have put their country and the Caribbean on the international map. The New National Party Administration has indicated that it is proud of its record of achievements in the area of youth development, a portfolio spearheaded by the vibrant Senator Emmalin Pierre. It boasts of affording a plethora of educational scholarships to Grenadian young people for studies at Universities abroad, including Cuba , Mexico , China and Mid-Western and other Universities in the United States . Since NNP took office from the National Democratic Congress coalition administration in 1995, the Nation’s premiere athletes have been given the chance to excel at the highest level, having gone to Universities, colleges and athletic schools abroad and to date their successes have put Grenada on the international circuit. The NNP Government reminisces on its first year in Office when it embarked on a major School’s computerization project, citing the future for the education system and affording widespread knowledge for the Nation’s youth. This is today complimented with the establishment of the Caribbean Knowledge and Learning Network, with Grenada standing at the pinnacle providing the administration of this system. Young people have also been afforded the opportunity to be trained in two ambitious programmes which have won acclaim region wide, the IMANI Programme and the Grenada Training and Employment Project, where thousands of school-leavers are engaged in learning skills, and at the same time, understanding the World of work. The New National Party is confident that young people have certainly been afforded the benefits of a caring Government, since its policies regarding their development have been directed towards the Nation’s future. These and other talking points will be platform discussion when the Party stages its Youth Convention and Rally. Source: NNP

NNP’S YOUTH CONVENTION AND RALLY
where do they get the monies to pay for all this stuff (Artists, free boat, T-shirts? We are tipical in our ways; today we are dancing with the devil, next month we are visiting churches and trying to play Godly, but be aware that God is not mocked. Grenada is fill with spiritual wickedness in high places and it makes no difference what party name they come under.
