WILL THERE BE A PRE-TRIBULATION RAPTURE? PART 1
MAY 03, 2008 - Fellow Grenadian, visitors, brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus: Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus Christ our Lord; 2 Pe.1: 3. Brothers and sister in Christ Jesus: We can never be successful teachers, or understand the truth of the gospel; if we are not in the position, to give an explanation for all that is written. The prophet Isaiah understood this clearly when he wrote. Whom shall he teach knowledge? And whom shall he make to understand doctrine? Them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts. For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept: line upon line; here a little, and there a little: For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to his people. Is. 28: 9, 10, & 11. Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not be ashamed, rightly, dividing the word of truth. 2Ti. 2:15. Accountability and transparency are not only words that should be thrown in the face of politicians; but we that are called by his name must also be in the position to give account for every statement that we see in the bible, that is related to doctrine. Our explanation must be comprehensive in nature: well balanced not leaving out any thing that is pertinent to the subject at hand. Of course the Holy Ghost Teacher must be there to inspire. Brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus: the pre-tribulation rapture position, held by the church today, has always been of tremendous concern to me. The exponents of this position have provided over fifty portions of scripture in their attempt to justify their claims, but a very careful study with comparisons will show that these claims are simply based on assumptions, allegorizing, and spiritualizing. Brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus: There are some people that claim that they fear God but that is not true in all cases. You see when a man truly fears, God he will be inclined to deal honestly with his word. Today there are five different versions of schools in regards to the rapture of the church. *Pre- tribulation; *Mid- tribulation;*Partial- rapture; *Pre-wrath position; and last but not least, *Post-tribulation rapture. Brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus: In fact the Post-tribulation rapture position is consistent with the Olivet Discourse, in Matthew. 24: and Luke, ch. 17: & ch.:21. This position was also taught by the apostles. Today eschatologist has shown little or no respect for the contents of that Discourse. Our Lord Jesus spoke of two resurrections, and if the Lord Jesus who is the resurrection, does not know how many resurrections there are, then heaven help us.(Please read Jh. 5:25 – 29.) The apostle Paul in 2Th.2: 1 – 4. Points out the sequence of events, as they will unfold, before the Lord's return: but the church today has rejected those authentic teachings for fables. In Re. 20: 1- 6. John makes it quite clear that there are two resurrections. Another thing that has to be made quite clear in doctrine, is that the remnant that will be saved in Israel at the coming of the Lord Jesus must be resurrected if they are to have power like the rest of the saints; and the scriptures shows that they will have power; else they will be like any ordinary person during the millennium Reign of Christ, and this obviously puts them in the last day. Let me make it quite clear: that anyone that was not resurrected will not have power with the saints or with Christ; during the millennium Reign of Christ. But go thy way till the end be: for thou shalt rest, and stand in thy lot at the end of the days. Da. 12: 13. Brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus: Four times did the Lord Jesus, in John chapter six make mention that the resurrection will take place at the last day. 39, 40, 44, & 54. Lots of people are making noise about a pre- tribulation rapture: but the truth is that they do not know, and it is probably hidden from them, that there are two premises of fundamental importance that are attached to this teaching that cannot be ignored, Two important presuppositions, however , are essential to the pre-tribulation position. (1) The definition of the church as a separate body of saints distinct from saints of other ages. (2) The doctrine of a future tribulation of unprecedented severity, so bad that it will be impossible or the unthinkable for any saint to go through that period.
