DE BOURG DETAINED BY POLICE  
ST. GEORGE'S, May 14, 2008 - Members of the Royal Grenada Police Force and the Financial Intelligence Unit carried out an operation at the residence of Finton De Bourg, CEO of Capital Bank International Limited – In Receivership. The operation was executed at around 4.00 o’clock this afternoon – Wednesday 14th May 2008 This development comes against the background of several complaints being made to the Financial Intelligence Unit by depositors of Capital Bank. A search warrant was obtained and executed on Mr. De Bourg, which permitted the police to enter his residence to conduct a search and seizure of items relevant to the investigation. This operation led to the arrest and detention of Mr. De Bourg in relation to the affairs of Capital Bank. Mr. De Bourg is currently in custodio legis at the St. Paul’s Police Station.
