*** Murder accuses made first Court appearance this morning *** Andy Brathwaite of Morne Fendue in St. Patrick’s made his first court appearance this morning at the Grenville Magistrate’s Court. The 32 year old, Brathwaite, is charged with attempted murder of his 18 year old ex-girl. The incident is believed to have occurred in the Tivoli/Moyah area last weekend. The victim, whose name has not been released by the Police, received several chop wounds to the upper part of her body. Brathwaite has been remanded to the Richmond Hill Prison to make his next court appearance on June 11th. *** The Eastern Division of the RGPF continues investigation into a recent chopping incident*** Another man is assisting officers of the Eastern division with investigations into a recent chopping incident. According to information from that division, a number of arrests have been made and charges laid in recent weeks in keeping with a zero tolerance approach by the RGPF, aimed at curbing threats and violent offenses.
