POLICE OFFICERS WILL VOTE SEVERAL DAYS BEFORE THE GENER...  
St. George's - Police Officers will be the first to cast their votes ahead of polling day; this is to allow them time to carry out their duties on Election Day. The representation of the People’s Ammendment Act which went through all stages during this week’s sitting of the House of Representatives. According to the Ammendment, the Police Officers will be permitted to vote not more than 3 days or no less than 2 days prior to the date of General Elections. Leader of Government Business in the House, Hon. Gregory Bowen says the officer names will be on a specially prepared list. On compilation of the special list, the names of the Police Officers will be removed from the existing voter’s list. While giving support for the bill parliamentary Representative for the Town of St. George, Peter David, says systems must be put in place to ensure that the Police are afforded adequate time from their duties to exercise their right to vote.
