Members of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Eastern Division, at around 6.15 this morning (Thursday 22nd May ‘08), responded to a report in the De Blando area of St. Andrew’s and found one female with a single stab wound to the back. Dr. Baptiste, practitioner serving in the district, was contacted and on completion of his examination confirmed the female Ms. Joyce Hagley nee Tillock to be dead. Ms. Hagley nee Tillock was a 65 year old resident of Post Royal in St. Andrew’s. After a period of resistance, Michael Noel, a 56 year old resident of De Blando, St. Andrews was detained. Noel had to be rush to the General Hospital to receive treatment for an injury to his neck. The injury is believed to be serious, and he remains hospitalized. A post mortem has been ordered on the remains of Ms. Joyce Hagley nee Tillock. Members of the Criminal Investigation Departments are continuing their investigations.
