ELECTION DATE ANNOUNCED!!
GRENADA, Sunday June 1, 2008 :- Prime Minister of Grenada and political leader of the ruling New National Party (NNP) government, Dr. Keith Mitchell, tonight made the much anticipated announcement for general elections in the tri-island state. The announcement was made at a grand political meeting of the NNP in the parish of St. John to endorse the NNP candidate for that constituency, Mr. Fitzroy Bedeau, a former Commissioner of Police in Grenada. The meeting was attended by over 6,000 persons wearing green jerseys - the color of the NNP. Prime Minister Mitchell told the animated gathering that tomorrow June 2 will be the final day for persons in the country who are not registered to get registered because he will be advising the Governor General of Grenada, His Excellency Sir Daniel Williams, to dissolve Parliament (which should take effect from June 3). Nomination Day is set for Wednesday June 18. Policemen are expected to cast their votes on Friday July 04 and General Elections will be held on Tuesday July 08, 2008.

I am reading the information posted from the NDC supporters on this thread and it is either you are blind (SELF-INFLICTED) OT YOU ARE LIVING IN SOME PARALLEL UNIVERSE. Stop misleading people and come to grips with reality. You know that NNP is going to win the elections because it is the best party that currently exists in Grenada. You guys are only going to con people who are not too educated to figure out what is taking place in the global community and know that NDC can't work any miracle to change that. NNP is the party to lead this country through these tough times. Grenadians won't stop the progress and stability of their country. LET THE PROGRESS CONTINUE!!!

What did NDC do for Grenada when they had the chance? They will do or say anything to get back in power.NNP will be victorious in the elections because of the progress that Grenada made.Grenada will go backwards under NDC.

Why the PM sounds so happy in his announcement for eletion?is it because of aggorance? if so he should know that grenadians are wiser and smarter now. This election if not stolen by the nnp, will be over before it starts.NDC could only lose the election for themselves. The PM shows the world that he took money from a crook. He is not a man of virtue and ethics. He should resign for the good of his party before election.he will not do so, NDC has it lock.

Guys the time has come what we all been waiting for .The PM reluctantly call the date although with short notice for people whose name not on the register. This election is for the survival of Keith Mitchel .I always thought that Grenadian take nonesense but one can only take so much. Does anyone read the Chelthenham Report ? Well take time out and make your mind up .Anyone with understanding can see the PM is not a honurable man and he does not have Grenadians at heart.I will give you ahint ,how can you PM travel without any Body Guard ? He went to Lichenstein a tax haven for the rich just where they open account in ghost names .Grenadian stay there and play fool Keith Mitchel uses the office of the GOVERNMENT to make himself a very Wealthy man .Do you think he does anything for Grenada ?When he put away $5m in his account he gives you guys $5,000.This election will be a test to show the world that if your pm did not take the $us.5 in the briefcase he wil have to go to court in America because his immunity from jail will be up. If he is innocent we will know .Tell me when you serve with a summons in Grenada do you say that you are innocent you can,t go? Well let keith go to court .The only way to make sure of that is to vote him out.
