LEGALIZING MARIJUANA SPARKS FURORE IN GRENADA AHEAD OF ...
Ahead of Grenada's July 8 poll, politicians in the Spice Island are quarrelling over allegations that one party would legalise marijuana. The ruling New National Party (NNP) claims that its main rival, the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) would legalise ganja. However, the NDC has dismissed that claim. "That is not an issue in the election and anybody would say that the NDC would have to be crazy to think about legalizing drugs in a situation where we're having so many drug-related problems in our society," said Deputy Chairman of the NDC, Ferron Lowe. "We're a third category, a developing country ... not one of those mature democracies where you can say well, people can handle anything. It is really out of order and should surprise the Grenadian people," said Lowe. Reprinted from radioja.com

Arsitolte,I am not saying there is no progress,I am talking about progress to benefit majority of Grenadians.I dont know if you live in Gtrenada,if you do take a visit to Grand Anse Health Centre.Mr Port Louis well painted the Police Station in the SOUTH but he never put one cent towards the youth centre ,or the Health Centre which should serve his guest.THERE IS PROGRESS BACK TO COLONIALISM,SLAVERY AND POVERTY.Unless actions cannot alliviate poverty to a country then such actions cannot be defined as progress.Whats about agriculture, education and health. Why did they not give the farmers free nutmeg and cocoa trees to plant .bonus at christmas

I think the ruling party are desperate at this time and will say anything to get the votes of Grenadians who are not using their heads. They should have proven themselves then they would not have had to campaigne so hard. The general public should have seen their works for the past thirteen years but here they are frightened and trembling in their boots because the people of Grenada will speak come July 8th and they HAVE TO GO!

Shiela, if over the past 13 years you have not seen any progress, then you are blinded by your bias and this diminishes the integrity of your posts. It is alright to criticize but you must be prepared to give credit where credit is due.
