Brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus: Most eschatologist I am sure will agree with me: that Jesus was making reference to Israel; concerning the time when it would have been restored; by God as a nation. Brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus: In 1917 the Balfour Declaration was issued in the form of a letter to the British Foreign Secretary, Lord Arthur James Balfour, to Lord Rothschild. It was delivered to Chaim Weizmann a Zionist activist, expressing British support for a Jewish "national home" in Palestine. In 1922, the League of Nations approved the British Mandate of Palestine with intent to creating that "homeland." In 1947 the United Nations approved the partition of the Mandate of Palestine into two states, one Jewish and one Arab. The Arab League rejected the plan. However it was on the 14th of May 1948 at Tel Aviv that David Benjamin Gurion with a Jewish Provisional Government declared the independence of Israel as a nation. Brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus: Israel had attained her sixtieth birthday of independence, on the 14th of May 2008, and it is my understanding that according to the word of God, that Israel has a sacrosanct mission to complete. Since we work by the word of God, three score and ten years is the basic time span that God has appointed as a life span for mankind. If the word of God is to be taken as we expect it to be accepted: This means we only have about ten years for these scriptures to be accomplished. Brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus: There are those who say today; that there is nothing prophetically, that has to occur before the rapture of the church takes place. Well let me tell you brother: "you en't see nothing yet." The church of Jesus Christ is God's witness, and will be his witness right until the end. Brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus: One may ask the question on this topic why begin with Israel? And further more any eschatologist that is worth his salt; will tell you that Israel is the place to watch for, in these last days: Because Israel is about to destroy many nations in the Middle East, including Russia; and nothing on earth or in hell will be able to stop them, because what will be done; will be fulfilled by God's divine authority. Brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus: In the Olivet Discourse our Lord Jesus, used many examples to depict the times and the seasons in which we are now living in. Among them (1) Deception, (2) false teachers and false prophets.(3) Wars and rumors of wars. He also spoke of famine and pestilence and also of the weather: Great earth-quakes in divers places. Brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus: The earthquakes as predicted by our Lord Jesus is becoming, a major concern to the nations of the world. There are more than thirty thousand (30,000) earthquakes each year; most of them are as low as 2.5 on the Richter scale and are not felt.
