Candidates for next month's general election in Grenada were filing their nomination papers on Wednesday.
The two main political parties, the governing New National Party of prime minister Keith Mitchell and the National Democratic Congress, are each expected to contest all 15 seats.
Dr Mitchell's party is seeking an unprecedented fourth consecutive term -- and a recent opinion suggested that it could succeed.
That prospect has so alarmed the official opposition that it has floated the idea of limiting future Prime ministers to two straight terms.

one must admit that a lot of progress is being made in grenada under kieth ruling , but at what cost ,as it is to date , grenadians cannot claim to own the entire country , since forigners own almost half of it ,and as time goes by those areas will soon be restricted .its ok to have many marinas , an invitation to many yatchs from all over the world , but how much controll will the port orthoriy have over these ports . when the lands are own by forigners ,time alone will tell , progresss yes but at what cost ,under this administration how long will be be before a gambling casino is being built , follow by by many motels and brothel , may sound strange , but its possible .i dont wish to sound negative about my country ,i am just concern as to where are we heading under this dictatorship type government , whos only concern is to bribe their way into staying in office so as to further their own ambitions and not puting the people first , but then again the people have a choice on the 8 th of july , its up to you , it may be hard to find one who is better than the other ,so why not try a different one .,good luck
