NDC LAUNCHES MANIFESTO
In the run up to the July 8 general election in Grenada, the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced that it will remove a 3% reconstruction levy, imposed on workers after Hurricane Ivan four years ago, if it is elected to government. NDC Leader Tillman Thomas made the announcement at a political meeting Sunday night as the party launched its election manifesto, promising to help solve the cost of living problem facing citizens. The levy, a tax on salaries introduced in the wake of the 2004 hurricane, was met with strong resistance by trade unions. The 36-page manifesto launched at the rally before thousands of supports did not include that plan to remove the levy, but outlined measures the NDC said it would implement to stifle the spiraling cost of living problem. These include introducing emergency agricultural food production support programme and embarking on a new food security campaign. Reprinted from radioja.com

NDC our saviour from the high cost of living, our financial troubles, our crime problems no donot think so.We are a country on the rise under the NNP adminstration. It doesnot matter how long a government is in power as long as you can see progress. If you think that a prime minister shouldnot be in power to long ,have a vote on term limit. To seat and say a Prime Minister is in power to long and someone eles should get a try is insane. The Grenadian people see the progress of our country that is why they vote NNP.So whether you like it or not it is what it is.

tell me can you buy a dresss in the store for 10 dollars a dollaris a dollor anywher you go stop cutting out the middleman which is the village tailors and seamstress. I say only buy this things in the store when its necessary. refine your own products your agricultural land is the envy of the west and the rest of the world. Ndc will put grenadians on the straight and narrow they will help cost of living they will not wait until its too late to put matters right hopefully. give them a chance there are many ways to bring down the cost of living its suppose to be a joint effort between the Grenadian People and the government one hand cant clap the people is willing but where is the real motivation form government. give them a real venue to sell their products of cocoa, nutmeg and cloves and spices. Invest in local business less artifical tell your style to the seamstress made to measur this is not the west this is the West indies.
