TOURISM, CLIMATE CHANGE AND FOOD TO TOP CARICOM MEETING...
Options for enhancing regional tourism in the context of current international trends, climate change, rising energy prices and achieving food security are among agenda items to be addressed CARICOM leaders when they meet in Antigua next Tuesday. All leaders, with the exception of Grenada's Prime Minister Dr. Keith Mitchell, who is campaigning for the July 8 general elections in his country, are expected to attend the July 1-4 summit. The leaders will also discuss developments regarding the CARICOM Single Market and Economy. Crime and security, including the implementation of the decisions agreed upon at the special CARICOM summit in Trinidad earlier this year and the decisions arrived at the Council of Ministers responsible for National Security and Law Enforcement held in St. Kitts last week, are also on the agenda.
