During a courtesy call on Grenada's Prime Minister Tillman Thomas on Wednesday, Chinese special envoy Zhao Zhenyu offered congratulations to Thomas upon assumption of office following the recent general elections and said China was committed to strengthening relations with Grenada.
He also recommitted Beijing’s cooperation in various areas, including health, housing and education among others.
Thomas thanked China for its support to Grenada in the past and its continued assistance. He re-affirmed his new administration’s adherence to the One-China policy.
Thomas wished China success on the hosting of the 2008 Olympic Games, now less than two weeks away.
The Chinese Special Envoy also paid a courtesy call on Foreign Affairs Minister Peter David.
