CONTROVERSY INTENSIFIES IN THE GFA SAGA
GRENADA: - The controversy brewing within the Grenada Football Association (GFA) seems to have taken a new twist yesterday with a letter being sent to the newly elected President of the GFA by the law office of Dr. Francis Alexis, acting on behalf of General Secretary of the GFA, Mr. Victor Daniel. In the letter, Mr. Ashley ‘Ram’ Folks was accused of making false statements and allegations about Mr. Victor Daniel, which tend to disparage his character in the eyes of the general public and cause him undue embarrassment. The letter complains about certain words allegedly published by Mr. Folks in an email message which was sent to various individuals and clubs involved in Grenada’s football earlier on this month following a no-confidence motion against Mr. Folks as GFA President. The subject of the message revolved around “…the plunder of GFA financial resources.” It is purported that Mr. Folks made mention of US$2 Million that was disbursed to the GFA by FIFA (the world governing body for football) over the past 8 years under Mr. Daniel’s watch as General Secretary and intimated that the only thing to show for it is his [Daniel] affluent lifestyle. In his letter, Dr. Alexis demands that Mr. Folks makes a full public retraction and apology in terms acceptable to Mr. Daniel. Further to that, he should ensure that the same or similar allegations against Mr. Daniel are not repeated and he should propose substantial compensation to Mr. Daniel. The letter warns that if Mr. Folks doesn’t comply to the demands before August 07, 2008, then action will be taken against him in the High Court.

whats wrong with you all "We ourselves as human beings are not perfect" this is what mr folks get for making a little gossip by email. when Mr folks is working he was anot alone in his decision makingi in his job though all the blame is seem to be resting on this one man thats not fair. this character is being made a disgrace by you folks and being dehumanised. but really is he a discgrace as a person or you are witch hunting him and in so doing protraying him as a discrace I do not buy into this crap. as I said this is not fair you have no right to make a person a disgrace by defamation of character there is no rights here. because when he was in he was in with he rest of the crowd some thing goes wrong and its he is being witch hunted. I do not see this brother as a disgrace but I could see he is being made to look like one by you all NOW CAN YOU SEE THE DIFFERENCE IN WHAT I AM SAYING tell me something is he the only one that has ever spread or started a rumour? in Grenada or football? all this bullshit is wrong if you dont want him fire him and leave his character alone stop disturbing other people peace of mind this is defamanation of character so therefore you are doing the same thing you accused him of man. How you so sure he sent the email someone even used my email name to send one to someoneelse. He should deny it until you all could prove that. stop all this accusations and allegations. that look like a set up

Yes Ram thought that he was above football.I really tried to understand, why he was like that? This man doesnot value anyone, young footballers espically those that were from the country were looked upon as nothing, they were not really given a chance. This man should just stay away from public affairs.

sit down and settle your differences its time to talk let make sure bread is not taken from anyones mouth this heavy critism this man is getting here lets make sure he does some serious soul searching but at the same time let not turn him into an outcast or the most hated figure because as of now he has comitted no crime give him a chance to repent of his wrong doings to the others who lost their chance he might be the best man for the job if he learns from his so called nastyness. Help him back on the right track no one is perfect give him a one to one now that he sees the seriousness of his attitude Come on people you all bigga than that why become just as bad as him.
