GEORGE’S (August 09, 2008):- The dynamic duo, Luni Sparks and Electrify, have successfully defended their Soca Monarch title, defeating a line up of 17 challengers to re-capture the coveted title for yet another year. The Soca Monarch competition took place last night at the National Stadium and was well attended by thousands of crazed soca fans who jumped and waved and gyrated and screamed to the sounds of the pulsating rhythms and the catchy lyrics of the best soca artistes in Grenada for 2008. Luni Sparks and Electrify were able to amass a total of 406 points which landed them in the number one spot, two points more than the 1st runner up, Mr. Killa. New comer to the soca arena, Mr. Legs, a student of SAASS, was able to grab on to the 3rd spot.
