GRENADA REVIEWING EPA
Grenadian prime minister Tillman Thomas has not been able to confirm whether his country will sign on to Europe's economic partnership agreement by the 2nd of September. Caricom countries are scheduled to sign the pact they initialled last December officially on the 2nd of next month, although Guyana has made it clear it is reluctant to do so. Mr Thomas whose NDC administration took office in July, says his government wants to review the EPA before going forward on that matter. "We are not opposing the EPA but as a government we want to review the agreement before we sign it. Now that we are in government we have an opportunity to go through it and then we will decide," he told BBC Caribbean. Reprinted from bbccaribbean.com
