GRENADA GOVERNMENT DELEGATION FOR TORONTO AND NY
A high powered delegation from the newly elected government in Grenada will travel to Toronto and New York next month. This will be the second trip for the Tillman Thomas government since it took office on July 8. The officials, who include the Prime Minister, and Foreign Affairs Minister, Peter David, will be engaged in official government business with provincial and federal officials in Canada. A gala reception is being organised in Toronto by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) group on September 27 to celebrate the party's victory and to mark the first anniversary of the NDC Toronto movement. Thomas and his team will then journey to New York to hold talks with trade and state officials. Last week, the new prime minister led a delegation to neighbouring Trinidad and Tobago, where that country's leader, Patrick Manning, agreed to join the Organization of Eastern Caribbean Union (OECS).
