NEW PRESIDENT FOR MEDIA WORKERS ASSOCIATION OF GRENADA
Veteran journalist Rawle Titus was on Saturday elected president of the Media Workers Association of Grenada during its annual general meeting. Titus, who is a correspondent for the Caribbean Media Corporation, has been a media worker for the past 20 years. He formerly served as vice president of the association. In his acceptance speech Titus called on members to become more actively involved in the work of the association, which represents media workers here. "We should not forget our role to inform, educate and entertain our audience whether it's print or electronic," said Titus. "Although some may view us as being political, we should not let their opinion stop us from doing what is right." Other members of the executive are Nicole Best, vice president; Roderick St. Clair, second vice president; Raymond Roberts, secretary; Linda Straker, assistant secretary; and Tricia Reuben, treasurer.
