GFA (GRENADA FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION) UPDATE  
After completing the third round of matches over the weekend in the GFA First Division, Hard Leads the standings on a maximum nine (9) points likewise SAFL. However, Hard Rock has a better goal difference. In Matches played on Saturday, Bernies Icecream St. Johns Sports fought hard for an away win 4-3 over Newly promoted Boca Juniors. Five Stars defeated FUTGOF 5-0 in their first match of the season. SAFL with three (3) wins from in as many matches didn't find it difficult when they handed Springs another defeat, this time 4-1 over at the Victoria Park. Two all time favorites D'sports Shop Morne Jaloux and Police played to a 1-1 draw at the Queens Park and Hard Rock won by default over Spartax. The standings read: Hard Rock and SAFL leads on nine (9) points, Police and Morne Jaloux on four (4) points. Boca Juniors, Springs , Five Stars, St. Johns Sports and FUTGOF are all on three (3) points and Spartax yet to gain a point at the bottom of the rankings. Moving over to Sunday,Premier Division Clubs were at the various battle fields seeking victory as they draw closer to the end of the first half of the Competition. Carib Hurricane edged past Willis Youths 1-0 at the Alston George Park, Fontenoy United had an away win to Chantimelle 1-0 at the Chantimelle Field. Ozone E.S.S. enjoying and impressive run earned three (3) points after journeying to Queens Park to face Queens Park Rangers. ESS won the match 1-0 in the second of a double header. The first game between Modern Interiors GBSS and South Stars ended prematurely. However, South Stars was leading 2-1 at the time the match ended. Details of the circumstances surrounding the match will be given. Digicel Ball Dogs will have to search again to see where there are going wrong as they suffered another defeat this at home to defending champions bmobile Paradise. Paradise won that match 3-0 at the Beausejour Playing Field. The standings read: Paradise tops the table on 15 points, both ESS and Fontenoy United are on 13 points. South Stars and Hurricane on 12 and 11 points respectively. GBSS are on nine (9) points and all theother team are sitting on three (3) points. Lester Smith Inside Grenada News
