COMMUNITY LIFE SKILLS PROGRAMME TO COMMENCE NEXT WEEK

The Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Culture and Sports is pleased to announce the commencement of its Community Life Skills Programme, beginning Monday September 15th, 2008 at the following centers: • St. Rose Modern Secondary School • Paradise Pre-Primary School • Grenville Secondary School (Pearls extension) • Belle Isle Community Centre • Samaritan Presbyterian School • River Sallee Government School Training will also commence on Monday September 22nd, 2008 at: • Grand Anse Roman Catholic School • St. George Methodist School Participants will be involved in several programme areas such as: • Basic Mathematics • English • Personal and Spiritual Development • Skills  Sewing  Cake baking and decorating  Craft The Community Life Skills Programme is aimed at: • Equipping participants with employable skills necessary for Poverty reduction • Providing avenues for educational achievement. • Introducing participants to a spiritual and personal development programme aimed at increasing self-esteem and confidence. • Supporting and empowering participants to be employable. • To promote and encourage self employment. The programme will run from 4:30 pm- 6:30 pm, Monday to Thursday, for the next six months. Inside Grenada News
