FORMER YOUTH MINISTER WRITES TO SEN GLEN NOEL
Ministry of Housing Ministerial Complex St. George’s Dear Mr. Noel, I make reference to a statement you made on a recent edition of beyond the Headline which I consider to be a very misleading, dishonest and a deliberate attempt on your party to tarnish my character. Referring to the milk program which was implemented by the former Government you said to the nation that in my office (referring to the NNP Office) you SAW milk being packaged. I challenge you to correct this statement as it is grossly false and can speak to the kind of individual you are, if you claim that you saw something that never happened. I wish to inform you that I am very proud of the fact that I have followed all the guidelines as a member of the former Cabinet as it relates to the program and I have done everything possible to ensure that the persons who received milk were persons who needed it. I am sure that you are aware, that many known supporters and activists of the NDC were beneficiaries in St. Andrew’s South East. This was never an issue to me, because I saw them not as persons belonging to a political party but as individuals in need. I trust that you will do the same. Please note, that there is only one reason that I have chosen to get into frontline politics in this country: my love for the people and my desire to help make their lives better. Had it not been for this, people like you would have discouraged me from doing what I believe I am called to do whether I am in Government or Opposition. Mr. Noel, you and the members of your team have said enough on your political platform that is untrue for political gains; you have made enough attempts to destroy people’s character and even their families. Now, even after you have attained leadership of this country (which I assumed was the primary reason you behaved in that way), you have found it necessary to continue. Again, I challenge you to at east be truthful when you speak. I have chosen to publish this letter simply because I will not want the general public to be misled into thinking that I was a part of a government programme that was implemented for political gains as you attempted to convince the listeners. Respectfully, Emmalin Pierre

FORMER YOUTH MINISTER WRITES TO SEN GLEN NOEL
well said, gabe. If this thing doesn't stop now, people will become so disenchanted with the political process and politicians, because people voted for a change, something different, not more of the same thing from those in government now!! Forget this nonsense about who did it in the past so others could do it now people, this is just a recipe for disaster, a vicious circle going round and round. That can't be good for us as a people, especially in these hard gru gru days.

Mr Fair yes i do agree with you re your comment on the statement by the previous minister for Youth and yes people and in particular ministers in public office should be careful when making any statement that may seems to be misleading, but again on the other hand politicans on the whole do from time to time make these misleading statements and yes there should be retractions where the public may find it confusing (the truth)and so my conclusion is that politicians of all shades do say things that they believe the public will response to and may i say the even the good former minister may or may not have been a party to misleading information also, from the previous government when they were in power,so now it is time that we as a people put our heads together and get our country back on the road to some sort of sanity and prosperity so that we can smile again instead of government and opposition in fighting which is not good for our foreign partners whom we hope / wish to do business with,we have got to come together as a people and it is high time we bury all these internal squabbles and get united and so once again i say that these islands belongs to all the people and not these self /egoes intrested politicans.

I am certainly opposed to persons making incorrect and disparaging statements against others for whatever reason, irrespective of which side it comes from and politicians need to cease and desist from making these sort of attacks on each other because they can go further than the intended target. Please stop behaving like little children and act as the responsible adults that you guys are supposed to be.
