It is with a deep sense of sadness we learnt of the passing of Mr. Errol Maitland at 8.30 on Wednesday evening after a period of illness. On behalf of Prime Minister Hon. Tillman Thomas and the government of Grenada, I extend sympathy to the family, relatives and friends of Mr. Maitland, who was a significant contributor to the expansion of the media in Grenada. Mr. Maitland grew from a man of modest means to become the owner of a newspaper, radio and Television stations, together with other elements of the entertainment industry in Grenada.
