The Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Culture and Sports continues preparations for Youth Month 2008 celebrations, to be held October 1 to 31, 2008. The month’s celebration will comprise of a number of youth-oriented activities under the theme: “Facing the Challenge, Preparing for the Future – We can make the Difference” These activities include: * National Youth Ecumenical Service * National Cooking Competition * National Panel Discussion and Youth Forum * Job Readiness Workshop * Badness Outta Style Day * Positive Vibes Launch * National Youth Parliament * National Youth Awards * National Youth Service Day * National Youth Rally and Positive Vibes Concert * National Secondary schools quiz and Spelling B competition * HIV/AIDS “Together We Can” Training * National Sports Day Youth month will commence with the Minister’s Address on Wednesday October 1st 2008 which will officially open the month of activities.
