The Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Culture and Sports is launching a series of one day job readiness workshops as part of its celebration of Youth Month 2008. These workshops are geared toward recent school leavers, job seekers and persons embarking on a new career. Topics to be discussed at these workshops are: * Resume Writing * Telephone Etiquette * Deportment (presentation for an interview) * Interview techniques * Professionalism in the workplace * Communication * The Labor Code * Cruise ship employment * The Application process for the Canadian Farm Workers Programme. The schedule for these exciting and informative one day workshops are: * October 11 Carriacou Resource Centre * October 13 St. Andrew- Bains’ Hall, Grenville * October 13 St. John- St. Johns ’ Anglican Pastoral Centre * October 14 St. Patrick- River Sallee Community Centre * October 14 St. David-La Sagesse Natural Works * October 15 St. Mark- The Victoria Hotel * October 15 St. George- National Stadium Conference Room Registration begins promptly at 8.15 am at each centre on the day of the workshop, while the workshop begins at 9.30 am. The workshop is absolutely free and participants will receive a certificate upon completion. A strict dress code is in effect as participants are asked to wear work attire. Persons otherwise attired will not be permitted to participate.
