GOVERNMENT PLANS TO RECTIFY PASSPORT SITUATION
The Grenada government says it is convinced "undesirables" are in possession of Grenadian passports and it is seeking to recover them as part of a campaign to have Canada lift visa restrictions imposed on nationals of the country. Prime Minister Tillman Thomas made the announcement upon his return from a recent trip to North America. A CMC report quoted Thomas as saying, “I believe that we are going to have to do some cleaning up ourselves with the passport, but basically the problem I believe is that there are certain persons with our passport who are questionable. But if we can really clean-up our act then the possibility exists that our status (with Canada) could be restored." Ottawa imposed the restrictions in 2001, amid concerns by United States and Canadian officials over the island's economic citizenship programme. More than 840 passports at an individual cost of EC$60,000 (US$22,900) were sold under the programme introduced in the late 1990s. Grenada and Dominica are the only two Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) countries slapped with travel restrictions to Canada, which cited their economic citizenship programmes as posing criminal, security and border integrity concerns. THE GOVERNMENT IS LOOKING INTO THE WAGES OF THE VOICELESS PEOPLE,IT IS TIME.THE INDIANS TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THIER WORKERS PAYING THEM LITTLE OR NOTHING FOR LOOOONG HOURS,THEY ALSO GET THIER GOODS DUTY FREE OR FOR LITTLE OR NOTHING.IT TIME FOR PEOPLE TO GET PAY FOR THIER WORK.OPPRESSION WILL END WHEN WE HAVE EQUAL WORK FOR EQUAL PAY.I HAVE SEEN PEOPLE SLAVE ALL THIER LIFE AND DIED BROKE,BECAUSE THEY WERE UNDERPAYED.GABE MY VACATION WILL START WHEN MY PEOPLE CAN AFFORD BASIC STUFF,WHEN THE DOCTORS AND HOSPITALS ARE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR MAL PRATICE.SOME ONE WENT TO CUT A HERNIA AND WENT HOME AND DIED.HE WAS ONLY FORTY ONE YEARS OLD.GABE I WILL FIGHT FOR THE UNDERDOGS,WE ARE IN A PREDICAMENT HERE IN GRENADA,I AM NOT BLAMING ANYONE.IT IS WHAT IT IS,I WANT TO SEE BETTERMENT.

Good morn mrs big bam bam and true grenadians i see that you both seems to think that i am some sort of moran and a paid up member of the NDC well you are both wrong and another thing i believe i am as level headed and can be very funny when i have to but right now i am a very serious person for several reasons, you see for too long we grenadians and here i must say some of us just sit on our behind and talk rubbish be it political or financial matters and therefore some of our children grows up not quite understanding what the hell is going on in our country, so if you guys think that i am a serious person so be it because i say again what we as grenadians write on this web sit is read throughout the world and we owe it to our self and our children to conduct our selves in a respectable manner be it on this web or when we speak out orally and another thing may i remind you both that i am not a member of any political party just a voter and a concern grenadian who wants our country to move forward from all this negative thinking to a positive enriching country where we can all benifit from these conditions so to you both i say lets move forward in peace and one love.
