Bus Terminus Homicide --------------------------- Officers of the Criminal Investigation Department arrested and charged Chris Modeste of Belmont in St. George’s for causing the death of Nigel Benjamin of the Limes, Grand Anse St. George’s. Benjamin, 22 years old, received a stab wound to the chest during an altercation on the St. George’s Bus Terminus on Friday evening. Modeste, 19 years old, made his first appearance before the St. George’s Magistrate’s Court on Monday morning to answer manslaughter charges. Benjamin died at the General Hospital on Saturday morning. River Road Death ------------------------- Officers of the Criminal Investigation Department are ruling out any form of foul play in the death of Carl Smith of Darbeau in St. George’s. Officers responded to a report on Sunday morning and found the lifeless body of Smith in the River Road area of St. George’s Smith was a 33 year old construction worker. A post mortem conducted on Sunday 9th November, determined the cause of death was an acute myocardial infarction. River Road Supermarket broken into ----------------------------------------- A resident of south St. George has been detained by Officers of the Criminal Investigation Department to assist with investigations into a report that the Food Depot in River Road St. George’s was broken into and a number of items stolen. The popular River Road establishment was broken into sometime during period late Saturday night early Sunday morning. Investigations continue. Inside Grenada News
