That Obama is the first African-American to be elected US President makes reality of a dream, observes Alexis. Moreover, Obama’s election shows that all the peoples of America are now embraced in a certain declaration made by the revolutionary founding fathers of the American nation who framed the US Constitution, says Alexis. This is the declaration that the founding fathers crafted the Constitution for “We the People”. That declaration was intended to enable the US Constitution to engender hope and to promise opportunities, inspired by democracy, says Alexis. The election of the messianic Obama spreads that hope and shows that America now extends to all its peoples its glorious opportunities, says Alexis.
