MINISTER OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS AND TOURISM ADDRESSES GRENA...
On Saturday November 8th, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Tourism, Honourable Peter David, addressed Grenadians and well-wishes gathered at a Dinner and Awards Event hosted by the Grenada Voluntary Hospital Committee. The Group, which is into its 41st year, has consistently supported the General Hospital in Grenada as well as other health initiatives. Minister David thanked the group and those gathered for their constant support and reminded them of the importance of the Diaspora to the economic development of Grenada. He also informed them that the Government was in the process of establishing a Diaspora Desk which would assist them with their questions and concerns as they prepare to return or to send donations to charitable organisations. The Chairman of the GVHC, Mr. Claude Sylvester, thanked the Minister for attending and also took the opportunity to welcome the new High-Commissioner, HE Ms. Ruth Elizabeth Rouse, who was attending her first community event since arriving in London on October 29th. Minister David, who is in London attending the World Travel Market, in his capacity as Minister for Tourism, was accompanied by Attorney-General, Mr. James Bristol. Inside Grenada News
