Mr Georges Cohen, an honourable and well-known European businessman, has come under recent attacks in the Grenada Media. Of the several false allegations made the most heinous of these was the slanderous allegation made against Mr Georges Cohen stating that he has been arrested by the FBI, the Federal Police of the United States of America. Mr Georges Cohen categorically denies and reiterates that there have been no investigations brought against him in the past nor are there any at present. He challenges his detractors to bring to light any concrete evidence that would sustain these false and outrageous allegations and invites the media to ensure the truth of any information or allegations put forward in the future. In addition to the foregoing Mr. Cohen has never been the object of any investigations in any country worldwide and has even been the recipient of the prestigious French prize of ‘Business Entrepreneur of the Decade’. As everyone will be able to verify for themselves on the internet, these scandalous allegations of problems with the FBI date back to 2003, since when he has never been pursued, arrested or charged by the U.S Authorities. ‘’Errare humanum est, perseverare diabolicum est’’ (Markus Tullius Cicero 106B.C) – (It is Human error to make mistakes, but to continue them is Devilish). It is on this basis in relation to these allegations, that Mr Cohen’s rights remain fully reserved. These allegations are even more scandalous and outrageous in light of the fact that for the last 9 years Mr Georges Cohen has personally invested large amounts of money in existing and future projects in Grenada for his professional benefit and the benefit of Grenada, a country in which he hopes he can live peacefully with the mutual respect of its citizens. Mr. Cohen is deeply disturbed that these unfounded and unfortunate allegations come at a time when he is expecting to begin a new project, in which he would like to work in accordance and harmony with the Grenadian authorities. These rumours that have been published on the internet and have therefore been made internationally public and accessible by anyone; ‘’Verba volunte, scripta manent’’ – (Spoken words fly, written words remain), have caused great damage and prejudice to his reputation, his family, his investments, and finally to the Grenadian people. Mr Georges Cohen, who lives most of the time more than 5000 miles from Grenada, remarks each time he returns, on the friendliness, kindness, courage and gentle nature of the Grenadian people. This coupled with the natural beauty and splendour of the island is essentially the source of his motivation to promote Grenada in its national development and international presence.
