PRIME MINISTER’S STATEMENT UPON THE RETIREMENT OF SIR ...
Prime Minister Hon. Tillman Thomas has expressed his appreciation and thanks to Sir Daniel Williams upon his retirement. The Prime Minister said Sir Danny and Lady Williams gave “selfless service” to the people of Grenada over the past 13 years as Head of State, the highest office in Grenada. Sir Daniel has served as patron to several organisations, including the Scout Movement and the Duke of Edinburgh Awards Programme. Sir Daniel joins a select few to have performed this role as Head of State in Grenada. He was appointed to the Office as the fourth Governor General of the state of Grenada on the 8th August 1996, when Former Governor General Sir Reginald Palmer demitted office. The Government of Prime Minister Thomas wishes Sir Daniel and Lady Williams a rewarding retirement and hope that their future endeavours will be fruitful Inside Grenada News

PRIME MINISTER’S STATEMENT UPON THE RETIREMENT OF SIR ...
Its good that old fool's gone. He like many others have drained Grenada's treasury. He made so much money so for so many years, yet after the hurricane, when he used his residence, had he loved and cared for Grenada so much, he could have showed some sympathy and not taken any money, but greed as usual took hold and he wanted his money because he used his house and servants. Tell me what was the one significant thing any of us could say he did for Grenada. Well he took all his full pay even when Grenada was in dire straits. I guess this is what some of us may call a patriot. Greed and Power eh. What an unfortunate situation. Littleboy says Good Riddance.
