INTER-SECTOR NETBALL NEWS
It is time many have waited for, the final of the 2008 Intersector Netball Tournament. On Wednesday November 26th the semi final games were played where Ministry of Sports came up against SGU Pacer 1 and Hubbards met Huggins. With the majority of the spectators in attendance fot the corporate clash of Huggins and Hubbards the excitement filled the air. Huggins supporters numbered their peak with banners, balloons and anything that was branded with the name Huggins. Hubbards on the other hand had their usual crowd support. As the whistle was blown for the start of the game Hubbards made their presence felt by taking charge of the game. The lead was not by a wide margin as Huggins was holding on til the finish. A change in the third quarter where Huggins sent their Goal Attack to the Goal Defence position was a arong move as she had a lot of calls against her which gave Hubbards a lot of penalty shots and her change also weakened Huggins' attack, thus lessening on their goals scored. At the end of the game the shouts of joy were loud enough to be heard on the Carenage as spectators ran to the field to congratulate the Hubbards team who remained unbeaten throughout the Tournament so far. They had silenced the Huggins team with a win of 32:27. Hubbards will now meet Ministry of Sports in the final to be played on Friday November 28, 2008 while Huggins will play SGU Pacers 1 in the loosers game.
