Members of her Majesty’s Opposition are expressing appreciation to the European Union for meeting its commitments. The European Union has just provided the Government of Grenada with over 4 million Euros equivalent to over 13 million E.C. Dollars. This money follows another 4.7 million United States Dollars which the Government received in July, 2008, immediately after taking over from the Keith Mitchell administration. This disbursement comes as a result of an agreement signed between the New National Party administration and the European Union. The Opposition therefore calls on the Tillman Thomas administration to use the money for what it was intended and to help to ease the plight of the poor and vulnerable, including our farmers and support for small businesses.
