The Basic Needs Trust Fund (BNTF) has announced plans for the appointment of a Project Steering Committee (PSC), as part of its Sixth Programme for 2008-2012. The BNTF has invited all parish based community based and grass root organizations to a meeting scheduled for Tuesday 9th December, 2008 beginning at 2:00pm. Organisers say at least two “competent” persons that are considered capable to represent their organization should attend the meeting at the Ministry of Works Conference Room 4th floor of the Ministerial Complex. The primary focus of the meeting will be to discuss the BNTF Programme, the role of the PSC and to elect members to serve on the Committee. Representatives from five relevant Government Ministries and a representative from the Private Sector will also make up the BNTF Project Steering Committee. The Basic Needs Trust Fund is a poverty reduction programme funded by the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) with support from Canadian International Development Agency and the Government of Grenada.
