THE FEAST OF THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION OBSERVED IN LOND...
The Feast of the Immaculate Conception was celebrated on Saturday 6th December 2008 at the Holy Cross Church in Catford, Lewisham, London. The Chief Celebrant, Bishop Patrick Lynch, welcomed the Grenadian Community to the Mass and children from the Holy Cross Primary School, offered prayers for the Government and People of Grenada. The mass is observed annually and was even more significant this year since the Holy Cross Parish is twinned with Beaulieu in Grenada. The Holy Cross Parish in Catford provided assistance to the affected parishes in Grenada following hurricane Ivan and has since established a special relationship with Beaulieu, having provided the lighting for the new church. They are also in the process of renovating a small building within the school perimeter which will house a library with IT facilities and a staff room. The High Commissioner conveyed appreciation to the Parish Priest, the Principal of the Holy Cross School and the Parishioners, for their kind support of the project, as well as Mr. E. Munro Baptiste, the Chair of the Mass/Twinning Committee, who spearheaded the efforts in this regard. Inside Grenada News
