As a result of the operational difficulties being experienced at the St. Patrick’s Cooperative Credit Union Limited the Grenada Authority for the Regulation of Financial Institutions (GARFIN) has appointed an Examiner to conduct an examination of the records and affairs of the Credit Union in accordance with Section 180 of the Cooperative Societies Act. The Report of the Examiner will be submitted by December 31, 2008 following which GARFIN will hold a meeting with the members of the Credit Union during the week of January 12, 2009.
