GRENADA CRICKET ASSOCIATION HAS NEW EXECUTIVE

ST. ANDREW’S, December 23, 2008 - The Grenada Cricket Association, the governing body for cricket in the Spice Isle, recently held its election of officers. This resulted in the creation of a new executive to chart the way forward for cricket in Grenada. The new executive comprises Cecil Greenidge as President; Peter Robinson and Brian White as Vice Presidents; Lydon Lewis as Secretary; Lex Mc Bain and Nordica Mc Intyre as Assistant Secretaries and Dennis Felix as Treasurer. In related news, Grenada will host the first two legs of the Windward Island cricket fixtures. Windward Islands will be coming up against Barbados in a four-day encounter at the Grenada National Stadium from January 9 to January 12, 2009. Later on, regional cricket will come to St. Andrew’s when the Windward Islands and Guyana go head to head in a four-day match at Progress Park. This match will be played from January 16 to January 19. Grenada has five nationals on the Windward Islands Cricket Team and two reserves. The five players are: Rawle Lewis (captain), Devon Smith, Neilon Pascal, Dennis George and Garvin Roberts. The two reserves are Andre Fletcher and Camilus Alexander. INSIDE GRENADA NEWS
