YOUNG FARMER NOT HAPPY WITH THE ACTIONS TAKEN BY RGPF O...
click
It was on Saturday 20th of December when I almost got gun down on my farm by members of The Royal Grenada Force. I was doing some cutlassing on my farm when I heard a voice calling me on the other end of my farm, so I went to see who it was, then I saw a man , suddenly some police officers jumped out of the bushes, I was about 20 to 30 feet away from them, they did not greet me verbally they just stick me up and held me at gun point, that time I still had my cutlass, I was working with, it in my hand, then one of the police said to me drop your cutlass, I said to him in a very cool and humble way, “Officer, I am not a violent youth and you know” as I said that the police cranked up his gun and was ready to shoot me down, so when I realized that he was really going to shoot me I dropped my cutlass, put my hands in the air and I stepped away from it, then he was still holding the gun at me and he came forward and took my cutlass up. I then said to him “I have done nothing wrong what’s the problem?” he then replied in a very angry and violent way, “your cow kill another man cow” I said to him I don’t own a cow I have a little calf, and it is almost impossible for a little calf to kill a full grown cow, and if that’s the matter the way you approach me did not call for and was very disrespectful, so why did you approach me in that way?, he then replied in a very angry and violent way “don’t ask us why we approach you like that. We know why”. Which leaves me to wonder if it is because I associated myself with the former Minister of Youth; Mrs. Emmalin Pierre?, Is it because I associated myself with Dr. Keith Mitchell?, because I could plainly see that these officers were politically motivated, and they were even more disrespectful to order me to pay the man who said my calf killed his cow one thousand dollars on the spot and said to me that’s the easy way and if I want it the hard way they will take me to court and make me pay five thousand. These are the things that discourages youths because I am not a violent youth and the elderly people in my community are very upset about the matter and some of them are willing to testify about that, I was on my farm doing the works of the Lord and these men just came and disturb me in my tranquility with guns and ammunitions no proof that my calf cause the man cow to die. When I did my own investigation I found out that the man cow got tangled up on a tree and broke its own neck trying to untangle. So, Why me? I have to ask this question.
