St. George's, GRENADA - The Ministry of Education has a new Permanent Secretary. Mrs. Veda Bruno-Victor has replaced Mr. Michael Pierre, who went on pre-retirement leave from January 2. For almost 10 years, Mrs. Bruno-Victor has worked as a permanent secretary in various government ministries. She has had stints with the ministries of Social Development, Works, Agriculture and Labour. Mrs. Bruno-Victor began her public service career as a teacher at Morne Jaloux Roman Catholic, and was later hired by the Anglican High School in St. George's as their sports coach. A former national netball player, she subsequently became the Coordinator in the Ministry of Sports. Mr. Pierre's retirement marks the end of a career in which he served as a school principal and chief education officer. From the Grenada Information Service (GIS) INSIDE GRENADA NEWS
