NEW PERMANENT SECRETARY IN THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION

St. George's, GRENADA - The Ministry of Education has a new Permanent Secretary.
Mrs. Veda Bruno-Victor has replaced Mr. Michael Pierre, who went on pre-retirement leave from January 2.
For almost 10 years, Mrs. Bruno-Victor has worked as a permanent secretary in various government ministries. She has had stints with the ministries of Social Development, Works, Agriculture and Labour.
Mrs. Bruno-Victor began her public service career as a teacher at Morne Jaloux Roman Catholic, and was later hired by the Anglican High School in St. George's as their sports coach.
A former national netball player, she subsequently became the Coordinator in the Ministry of Sports.
Mr. Pierre's retirement marks the end of a career in which he served as a school principal and chief education officer.
