Compton House has emerged as the major winner of the 15th annual Hillsborough Government School Inter-house Sports Meet. The athletes of Compton, or Green House, opened the meet with success by winning the march past. However, that was not all. Green House amassed a total of 193 points in track and field events to walk away as overall champions and take home the winners' trophy. Paddy, Yellow House, placed second with 141 points. Mills – the so-called Red House –had to settle for third place with a score of 134 points. The stars of the games included Jenille Emmons who received the award as the most outstanding athlete for girls under 9 years, while Isaiah Simmons was the most understanding performer for boys under 9. Other outstanding athlete awards went to Lakisha Boatswain in the under 11 girls' division, and Avian Alexis for girls under 13.
