ANDY COLE PAYS VISIT TO SAASS |
|
|
GRENVILLE (TUESDAY MARCH 17, 2009) - One of England’s best known footballers, Andrew Alexander Cole (now retired), today paid a visit to the St. Andrew’s Anglican Secondary School. Cole has the envious distinction of being the second-highest goal scorer in English Premier League history with 187 premier league goals, second to Alan Shearer who has 261 goals.
The retired English International striker met with the female and male footballers of the school to share his wealth of knowledge with them. He also took time out to answer a number of questions that they had to ask about his experiences and the sport of football in general.
Andy came across as a very friendly and knowledgeable man who found it very easy to blend in with the group of students, chat with them, sign autographs and even pose with some of his excited fans for photo sessions.
Andrew Cole’s visit to the school was made possible by the Jason Roberts Foundation – an organization set up by English based Grenadian footballer, Jason Roberts – to help develop, promote and popularize the sport of football, especially among the youthful population.
Andrew Cole was accompanied by Otis Roberts who happens to be the manager of Jason Robert’s.
