GRENADA DISCUSSES DELIMITATION OF MARITIME BOUNDARY WIT...
A six-man delegation, headed by Dr. Carlyle Mitchell, a former Director of the Economic Affairs Secretariat of the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS), left Grenada on Wednesday for a two day meeting in Trinidad. The high-powered team, which includes Senator Arley Gill, Anslem Clouden and Gilbert Marcel, attended the two day meeting on the Exclusive Economic Zone Boundary Commission which seeks to come up with a recommendation for the establishment of the exclusive economic Zone for Trinidad and Grenada. This move by the local administration comes on the heels of a land mark ruling against disgruntled oil tycoon, Jack Grynberg, who would have brought a barrage of law suits against Gregory Bowen and the Grenada Government under the rule of the former New National Party administration after the rights he had obtained to explore the islands oil reserves were repealed. To date, Gregory Bowen has been successful in three of the cases. Once the maritime boundary between Grenada and Trinidad is agreed upon and finalized, Grenada can proceed to explore and utilize its oil reserves. INSIDE GRENADA NEWS
