Prime Minister Tillman Thomas is meeting with his CARICOM counterparts at a Regional Security System (RSS) meeting in Basseterre, St. Kitts. Honourable Thomas, who is also National Secuity Minister and Leader of the National Democratic Congress, is the outgoing RSS chairman. He is handing over chairmanship to Dr. Denzil Douglas, Prime Minister of St. Kitts & Nevis. Foreign Affairs and Tourism Minister, Hon. Peter david, has been appointed Acting Prime Minister. Earlier this week, Mr. Thomas and members of his Cabinet held a successful Town Hall meeting at the Trade Centre. Mr. David, in his capacity as Tourism Minister, also attended the unveiling of plans by businessman Steve Duncan for a major concert to be held in Grenada later this year. "Rock d Spice,'' scheduled for May 29 - 31, 2009, will feature Shaggy, Third World and Destra, as well as Grenada's own Ajamu and Mr. Killa & Destra.
