INFORMATION FROM CONSUMER AFFAIRS DEPARTMENT  
St. George’s - The public is hereby informed that all petroleum products are price controlled items and retailers are expected to be guided by the Price Control Regulation as administered by the Consumer Affairs Department of the Ministry of Finance. In this regard, retailers are expected to immediately apply price changes to existing stocks. Failure to comply will constitute a breach of the Price Control Regulation and would attract the following penalties: (i) On summary conviction, an imprisonment for 3 months and a fine of one thousand five hundred dollars. (2) On conviction on indictment, an imprisonment for two years and a fine of eight thousand dollars. The public is asked to notify the Consumer Affair Department whenever petroleum products are not sold for the prescribed price and to present a bill as a proof of purchase.
