Earlier on this week, a very popular local calypsonian was picked up by local lawmen in connection with the sexual assault of a young secondary school girl believed to be about 15 years old.
It is reported that the young school girl was on her way to church last week Sunday (April 19) when she was offered a ride in a vehicle driven by the calypsonian.
It is alleged that he refused to drop off the child at the church but instead drove the vehicle to a remote location where he sexually assaulted her. The incident is believed to have occurred in the St. Patrick’s area where the calpysonian resides.
The popular calypsonian was in police custody during the course of this week and is believed to be assisting them in their investigations into the alleged rape incident. No charges have been formally laid as yet.
Whats the matter with these so called men who are the scum of the earth?
Very glad this young girl has reported this crime. This man must be punished and his name should be published to name and shame him. Low life crimals leave our children alone to be children!

This sort of story coming from grenada is not good ,really not good grenadians and the police and our government have got to get a handle on it and named this man and shamed him no matter how famous he may be ,we cannot allow this type of crime to manifest its self in our country as is currently happening in jamaica and trinidad,we have got to get these wrong doers off our street and into prison for a long time ,the law should make it known that no matter what the age the victim is if a sex crime is comitted against them the offender/offenders will be named and if convicted will also be put on a sex offenders register and jailed for a long time ,we have to send this message out ,there is no other way ,but name and shame them.

This is very coward reporting. Why is there such a need to protect the identity of this guy? On many ocasions people who have been arrested have been named, why is this case so special. In addition, for all those retards that think a woman (or in this case a child) should be raped because of her other life choices-- you need to go live in a cave with the rest of the retards.
