HAVANA, Cuba, May 1, 2009 - Foreign Minister Hon. Peter David has held bi-lateral meetings with several delegations at the Ministerial Meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) in Havana. Mr. David met with delegations from Canada, Singapore, Venezuela, Qatar, Australia and the Dominican Republic during the NAM meeting in the Cuban capital. "We discussed several matters of mutual interest to our countries," said Mr. David. "A joint meeting was also held with the Cuban and Venezuelan delegations to discuss the health care agreements between our countries and to determine the way forward for the second phase of the hospital project," he added. Minister David also spoke on behalf of the Caribbean and Latin American region at Thursday's closing ceremony and attended Friday's May Day celebrations in Havana, representing Grenada. The Cuba meeting adopted documents which will contribute to the preparations of the 15th Summit of Heads of State and Government, scheduled for Egypt in July.
