POLICE NEEDS PUBLIC ASSISTANCE IN IDENTIFICATION OF CUL...  
Officers of the Criminal Investigations Department are seeking the assistance of the general public to solve a spate of vandalism and robberies that occurred late Saturday night and early Sunday morning. The incidents occurred outside, and in the vicinity of the National Stadium during the concert promoted by Sunshine Promotions on Saturday 9th May 2009. Windscreens and side glasses of fourteen vehicles were smashed and items stolen from some of the vehicles. Owners of the damaged vehicles reported the lost of stereo systems, purses and bags and other personal effects. According to Police records this is the first time such a large number of vehicles were damaged and/or broken into at one location. The Police are continuing their investigation and any one with information that could assist should contact the C.I.D at telephone 440-3921, the Police tips line 444 1958 or the nearest Police Station. The Police would also like to advise persons against receiving and/or purchasing stolen items as this is an offense punishable by a fine and/or incarceration or both. Any one found to be involved is such a practice will be arrested and charged. Meanwhile, persons whose vehicles were damaged on Saturday 9th/Sunday 10th in the vicinity of the National Stadium and have not made a formal report to the Police should do so immediately.
