The National Water & Sewerage Authority is pleased to announce the confirmation of Mrs. Pansy Ventour to the post of Administration Manager effective May 1, 2009. A resident of St. Andrew, Mrs. Ventour has been with the Authority for the past fourteen years where she has filled many posts from that of Documentation Officer to Acting Personnel Manager and later Acting Administration Manager. As Acting Administration Manager, Mrs. Ventour undertook numerous initiatives to improve staff morale and support to other Departments. Among the initiatives taken were the organizing of training workshops for Plant Operators in water treatment and water distribution operations. As the Administration Manager Mrs. Ventour's responsibilities will include developing appropriate human resource policies, procedures and standards; providing support to managers on human resource and organizational development issues; developing plans for performance appraisal, training and development; and also to assist in managing occupational safety & health. Mrs. Ventour holds a BSc. Degree in Management Studies and a Certificate in Public Administration both from the University of the West Indies. She has received training in areas such as Principles of Supervision, Principles of Labour, Industrial Relations and Occupational Environmental Health and Safety Training for Managers and Supervisors. In 2008 she completed the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP)/Government of Grenada Advanced Negotiation course, and is currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Human Resource Management from the University of Cambridge, England. A choir director at St. Leo's R.C. Church, Mrs. Ventour spends most of her spare time reading, and listening to music.
