AMBASSADOR BRISTOL IS THE PERMANENT REPRESENTATIVE OF G...  
On Friday July 10, 2009, Ambassador Gillian Bristol presented her credentials to Jose Miguel Insulza, the Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS), as the Permanent Representative of Grenada to the OAS. The ceremony took place at the OAS headquarters in Washington DC. Before her appointment, Ambassador Bristol had worked for more than 15 years in the OAS General Secretariat. She holds a law degree from the University of the West Indies (Cave Hill Campus, Barbados). She has been involved in matters of hemispheric politics and security since 1992. She has also worked as secretary of several committees of the OAS Permanent Council, in meetings related to the General Assembly, and as Program Manager at the Inter-American Committee against Terrorism (CICTE).
